Ageing is a key feature of the Western Australian population. In 2013, 18% of Western Australians were aged 60 years and over. ABS projects that by 2050 approximately 24% of Western Australians will be aged 60 years and over.
Building age-friendly communities is a key strategy for responding to this demographic change.

A half day workshop the following day will encourage participants to examine practical issues in implementing age-friendly projects and solutions.
