We had a massive week for Seniors’ Week 2015 – with CEO Ken Marston publishing a great piece in the West Australian about the importance of our attitudes and Seniors in the community. Feel free to read it here.
We were very proud to announce our Active Ageing Award winners and finalists, and full details of their remarkable achievements are here.
We made a splash at Have a Go Day, meeting thousands of interested Seniors and discussing the programs and services that COTA offer in the community. Pictured are our intrepid Walk Leaders from Cockburn Gateway Shopping Centre (Ron and Marian Hetherington and Di Black), along with 2015 Outstanding Walk Leader from Karrinyup Shopping Centre Maureen Banham; who joined the crew at COTA’s tent. Go team!
We are also all prepared for the Housing by Design event on Saturday – presented in conjunction with the Independent Living Centre of WA, presenting speakers such as Dale Alcock on the topic of appropriate housing to enable Ageing in Place. The flyer for the event is here.
Hoping that you have had a wonderful, interesting and productive Seniors Week for 2015 – have a lovely weekend.
