Living Longer Living Stronger is an evidence based progressive strength training and exercise program designed specifically for the over 50’s operating in Western Australia since 2004.

Progressive Strength training has been shown to have a huge impact on wellbeing and quality of life, and Living Longer Living Stronger provides safe, fun and personalised sessions in approved facilities by expert trainers!  In addition to functional strength, progressive strength training has a proven impact on :

  • Arthritis
  • Sleep Disorders
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Bone Density/Osteoporosis
  • Cardiovascular Function/Disease
  • Balance/Gait/Falls Prevention
  • Cognitive Function

We are currently collecting details of people interested in becoming part of a roster of Living Longer Living Stronger Instructors providing a registered mobile service in both metropolitan and regional settings.

The Working Seniors’ Tier is now active!

Seniors who are engaged in the workforce or are otherwise unable to attend daytime classes can now obtain the quality Living Longer Living Stronger Assessment and join participating Tier 2 facilities as regular members.  The new referral form contains this option, which requires a GP clearance. View the form here

COTA WA now also supports Mall Walking groups in Karrinyup, Garden City Booragoon,  Belmont and Cockburn Gateway.

These groups provide a FREE, safe, temperature controlled and friendly environment for walkers to get in some exercise and meet new people. Read more about Mall Walking.
