There are reports that there are citizens out in the community who are suffering the signs of stress and are reluctant to call for an ambulance or seek medical help because of concerns of being in contact with COVID-19 sufferers or of overbearing the health system.

The Stroke Foundation and COTA WA strongly urge you to call OOO if a loved one, friend or colleague is showing symptoms of suffering from stroke. The operators on the 000 emergency call centre are experts at being able to get you the help required as soon as possible,

The Stroke Foundation advice that “We are living in unprecedented times as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, however please remember that stroke is always a medical emergency.“.
