Our instructor course allows you to deliver the program at any of our accredited providers, access support to extend your reach into clients over 50 and gain fitness Australia CECs. The course includes modules on Physiological Changes with Ageing, Common Age-Related Health Issues, The Client Assessment Process, and Strategies for Successful Implementation of SFL™.

As a minimum, a Certificate IV in Fitness, or equivalent, is a pre-requisite for instructor training. Instructors who complete the course must also deliver SFL™ at an endorsed provider.

Strength for Life Instructor

Debbie is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (B Sc. Exercise Rehabilitation) with 10 years’ experience working in clinical settings with clients diagnosed with various chronic conditions and injuries as well as being involved in research across the cancer and paediatric domains.

She has also been engaged as a sessional tutor at the School of Exercise and Sports Science at ECU since 2012.

This role has included teaching across various units, including Physical Activity and Health, Human Anatomy and Exercise Rehabilitation.

Debbie has been involved with SFL for over 10 years now and first became aware of the program while she was completing her undergraduate practicum. Since then Debbie has provided the SFL Program at each clinic in which she has worked.
